Home WiFi Setup & Support

A solid and reliable WiFi network is essential in today’s modern home with high demands that are put on the network with streaming video, downloading music, playing games online and everyday internet usage. The networks we design are high performance, highly reliable and will handle your needs for today and for the future. This is the backbone of any automation and control system and should not be overlooked or designed with consumer grade equipment. We only use the best business grade and enterprise grade networks.

Consumer rated network equipment isn’t designed to handle the high demands of the modern home automation environment. Using quality networking components results in better WiFi reception, jitter-free A/V streaming, and less on-site service calls.

Site Survey

Before beginning any new WiFi networking project, our networking specialist performs a thorough site survey using specialty hardware and software. The site survey tells us about the wireless environment in and around the house, possible interference and the best places to setup the WiFi access points. With so many devices transmitting wireless signals from within your home and your neighbors, a site survey is the most essential part of any reliable WiFi network installation. If your “computer guy” isn’t doing this, maybe you should reconsider.

Routers

The router is the most critical component of any computer network. It handles the traffic between your home and the internet, its the first line of defense from outside attackers and it provides additional feature and functions for a safe and reliable networking experience.

Our commercial grade network routers are perfect for high traffic networks with full Gigabit LAN connections, 2 Gigabit WAN connections and embedded firewall for added network security. They can handle the heavy workload of streaming 4K video, streaming music, transferring photos and all of the other online tasks you and your family are doing without freezing up and needing to reboot.

To really make your life easier, our commercial grade routers allow professional remote management of your network. Through our service plans, we can remotely reboot your network, upgrade firmware and fix most issues without needing to be onsite. We can even receive notifications anytime your network goes down, allowing us to provide you with extremely fast service.

Switches

Network switches allow all of your hardware devices, like computers, printers, TVs, and even WiFi access points to physically connect together using CAT5e or CAT6 wiring on your network. The difference between a commercial grade switch and a consumer rated switch is performance and reliability. If your switch fails, your entire network goes down. Having a solid network switch is key to a robust and reliable network.

With a 1 Gigabit throughput on all ports simultaneously, our switches can support the backbone of your system. Utilizing the power of a fully managed switch means full control of the network with functionality to handle the most complex and robust systems.

WiFi Access Points

Houston WIFI Network Installation

If your home is larger than an average 1,000 sq. ft. apartment, then using a router with built-in WiFi simply won’t work.

WiFi access points are critical to getting your wireless devices streaming on the internet. These WiFi access points are mounted to the ceiling and installed throughout the home.

In an average home, the WiFi signal will travel really well for about 1,500-2,000 sq. ft., after that you’ll notice significant decrease in speed and your wireless devices will loose signal. Placement of the WiFi signal is essential in obtaining optimum speed and signal throughout a home. This is why we use WiFi Access Points. Depending on the size of the home, we’ll install more than one WiFi access point in the home, located in key areas to broadcast the wireless signal. This insures that good wireless signal reaches every point in the house without fail. WiFi access points can also be installed outside if a strong wireless signal is needed in places like the backyard or pool area.

Why our WiFi networks are better.

Wireless-AC

AC is here to stay. You now get full support of the new 802.11ac protocol, which provides you with the latest technology in Wi-Fi speeds to get the job done. You can avoid buffering, and you can avoid those pesky service calls.

Fast Roaming Capability

Fast Roaming allows for a quick and seamless transition between multiple wireless access points. The location-based triangulation helps determine the closest and strongest AP, then automatically connects your device.

Powerful Performance

With 2.4 and 5 GHz radio signals running concurrently, you have more availability for traffic and less chance for a frustrating, slow connection. As an added convenience, we’ve included band steering, so the WAP will automatically position 5GHz clients onto that respective radio signal, decreasing congestion on the 2.4 GHz radio and providing the best user experience possible. Combined this with a 3×3:3 Wireless-AC antenna, and you’ll have incredible speed and a reliable connection.

Beamforming

As part of the 802.11ac standard, chipset-based beamforming automatically directs the wireless signal toward heavily used clients, maximizing signal strength and minimizing side noise on every device.

Discreet and Elegant

Our WAPs were built with a focus on aesthetics, making this a product that customers will be proud to put in their homes. Equipped with just one LED on the side, these WAPs provide an option that’s both good looking and discreet.
