Creative LAVA began as Freedom Communication Services in 2003, providing basic wiring installation services for homes and businesses.
In 2007, with the changes in technology and home entertainment becoming more affordable, Freedom Communication Services changed to Home Theater Evolutions, focusing on home entertainment systems. As home automation systems became more mainstream, we became more focuses on designing and selling home automation systems from Savant and Control4. We had a lot of success as Home Theater Evolutions, working with some very high profile clients like the Houston Rockets, TLC’s The Little Couple and many celebrities.
With more attention on internet related services, home automation services, which include lighting control, audio, video and much more, in 2016 the decision was made to “evolve” Home Theater Evolutions and change the name to Creative Lighting, AV & Automation (Creative LAVA). Having a name that encompasses more of what we do (lighting, automation, audio/video, networking & more) made sense.
